Manchester United consider £43m Paul Pogba sale amidst PSG links

Transfer News: Manchester United considering Paul Pogba sale

According to transfer news from Daily Mail, Manchester United are considering a sale for Paul Pogba. PSG are keen on signing the French midfielder for £43m. United are unwilling to lose their prized asset on a free transfer next season and that is why a sale is being considered.

This is not the headache Manchester United or Ole Gunnar Solskjaer would have wanted with Paul Pogba. He was one of United’s standout players last season and impressed with France in the Euros as well. The problem is that he is in the last year of his current deal at the club and there’s not been much of an indication that he will renew it.

Pogba to leave United this summer?

Pogba will be free to talk to other clubs over a free transfer from January 2022. That means United are severely low on their options and selling him in this transfer window is one of them. The other option would be to keep him for the remainder of this season and hope that a new deal can be agreed upon.

Seems like United are looking to take the first option. PSG are willing to offer £43m for him and are probably the only club that can match his salary expectations. United are considering a possible sale so as to not lose him for free next season. It must be noted that there has not been any contact between both sides.

Manchester United could make use of Paul Pogba in their efforts to land Real Madrid ace Raphael Varane this summer.
Pogba is a game-winner on his day

United will be hoping to keep the Frenchman, and talks over a new deal can be done even after the start of the season. It would be a real loss if United had to cash in on him right when he is in the best form for the club.
